ICCDI Partners with Frontline for Climate Action to Train 30 Young Ghanaians on Climate Justice Advocacy

In a bold and timely move to build youth capacity for climate justice across Africa, the International Climate Change Development Initiative (ICCDI) has teamed up with Ghana-based Frontline for Climate Action to deliver a focused training for 30 young Ghanaians under the banner "Climate Justice Advocacy for Young African Climate Activists." This initiative marks the beginning of a broader West African effort to empower young people with the knowledge, tools, and collaborative networks needed to push for a just, inclusive, and sustainable future.
Olumide Idowu, Founder of ICCDI, expressed his admiration for the work of Frontline for Climate Action and the impact it has created across communities in Ghana. "We are deeply inspired by the grassroots energy and leadership of Frontline for Climate Action. This partnership is just the beginning of a broader regional initiative that will amplify youth voices across West Africa in the fight for climate justice," said Olumide. He announced that similar trainings will be rolled out in other West African countries under a collective initiative titled Climate Justice Advocacy for Young West African Climate Activists.
Welcoming the partnership, Cedric Dzelu, Founder and Executive Director of Frontline for Climate Action, described it as a “breakthrough for regional collaboration.” He emphasized that “this partnership with ICCDI strengthens our mission to empower young people with knowledge and skills, while building bridges across African nations for a just and sustainable future.” Dzelu also assured ICCDI of maximum collaboration to ensure all deliverables are met and the impact is far-reaching.
