In a bold step toward advancing grassroots climate education and advocacy, Frontline for Climate Action, in collaboration with Won Bee Ga, is organizing a high-impact virtual climate action workshop under the theme: "Sustainable Futures: Living with Climate Consciousness." This timely event seeks to ignite awareness and inspire collective responsibility in addressing the climate crisis through sustainable practices, coastal conservation, and eco-conscious living.
Slated for June 20, 2025, the workshop will bring together environmental enthusiasts, youth leaders, youth advocates, and changemakers from frontline and across Ghana to explore innovative pathways for sustainability and resilience in the face of climate change.
The workshop will be hosted by John Matrevi, Procurement Officer at Frontline for Climate Action, who will guide participants through a vibrant program of keynote addresses, community insights, and collaborative discussions.
Keynote Speakers include:
Peter Martin, Communication Officer for Frontline for Climate Action, who will deliver a powerful address on climate consciousness, behavioral change, and the role of storytelling in environmental advocacy.
Soyelle Douglas, Project Lead for Won Bee Ga, will share deep insights on grassroots climate work, particularly in the areas of coastal ecosystem protection, plastic recycling innovation, and youth engagement in sustainable beach clean-ups.
Won Bee Ga’s collaboration brings a unique edge to the workshop, combining on-the-ground experience with a passionate drive to empower coastal communities and protect marine biodiversity. Their joint efforts with Frontline underscore the need for synergy in climate action, where civil society, local initiatives, and policy influencers converge to build a livable, sustainable future.
Participants can expect engaging presentations, interactive Q&A sessions, and a strong call to action rooted in community participation and climate resilience.
This virtual workshop serves as a vital platform to equip individuals with practical tools and a renewed consciousness to become agents of change in their communities. At a time when the climate emergency grows more urgent, "Sustainable Futures: Living with Climate Consciousness" stands as both a rallying cry and a roadmap toward hope, action, and transformation.
Let’s build a climate-conscious future together.
Peter Martin | Communication Officer
