On May 22nd, 2024, Frontline for Climate Action, in partnership with the Prampram District Assembly, successfully held the first Climate Change Education and Training session at Prampram Senior High School. This significant event marks a milestone in our ongoing efforts to foster climate change education and awareness among students, aligning with our strategic commitment to empower the next generation.

The event was graced by the presence of the District Chief Executive, Hon. Al-Latif Amanor, who served as the keynote speaker. His address provided valuable insights and inspiration, emphasizing the critical importance of climate education in shaping resilient and informed communities. Hon. Al-Latif Amanor expressed his excitement for partnering on this project and called on Frontline for Climate Action to continue its commendable efforts in climate education and advocacy.

The Headmaster and teachers of Prampram Senior High School warmly welcomed this initiative. They expressed their appreciation for the educational opportunity provided to their students and underscored the importance of such programs in equipping young minds with the knowledge needed to tackle climate challenges. The enthusiastic participation of the students was evident as they actively engaged through questions and cooperation, demonstrating their keen interest in climate issues.

Cedric Dzelu, the Executive Director of Frontline for Climate Action, and Solomon Djangmah, the Project Lead, delivered technical presentations that delved into the science, evidence, and impact of climate change. Their sessions were designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of climate issues, equipping them with the knowledge to engage in meaningful climate action.

This achievement was made possible through the collaborative efforts of various partners, including the Ningo-Prampram Assembly, Noveli E-Solutions, Prampram YMCA, and PramCiti TV. Together, we are committed to equipping the next generation with the knowledge and skills necessary to address climate change and build a sustainable future.

The success of this event underscores the importance of community and institutional partnerships in driving climate education initiatives. We look forward to continuing our work in this vital area, fostering a generation of informed and proactive climate champions.
